Pirates of the Carribean 3 – At World’s End by Gore Verbinski

I can’t believe that this is the final part of PotC. Of course, we were all informed that this is the last movie to complete the trilogy and to conclude what happens to our beloved pirates. But that doesn’t mean that we, fans, wouldn’t scream – “More!”

Though the original and the first movie was still the best among the three (of course, it being the original with the whole plot and concept to begin with), this last film was the big she-bang. 🙂

The characters were marvelous. Has been ever since the first film. Each portrayed to the best of their abilities. Every character was convincing enough to play their roles. And of course, we should commend Captain Jack Sparrow (Johnny Depp) for a marvelous job. He always has a way with words and his actions are simply – wow! 🙂 His lines were witty and comical at the same time. But something that would keep you glued to the screen and waiting for more. If I may shorten how marvelous he was in the movie in one of the characters’ lines – “Do you think he plans it all out, or just makes it up as he goes along?” 🙂

Of course, we should commend the rest of the characters as well. Elizabeth Swann (Keira Knightley), Will Turner (Orlando Bloom), Captain Barbossa (Geoffrey Rush), Captain Sao Feng (Chow Yun Fat), Norrington (Jack Davenport) were just among the many characters who made the film one of the best films ever made for this year.

Technical wise – the movie was astounding. With its stunning digital effects, elaborate costumes and mind-blowing set designs, the film offers a one of a kind ride and experience. The look was really “pirate-y” and you yourself, as you watch it, would feel the whole “pirateness” of the film.

Plus the ending was like watching a dance come to life. Particularly during the battle scenes. Seriously.

I watched it during the opening weekend and mind you – the line in getting the tickets, the long wait to be seated were all worth it. I advise that you watch it too. Or be ready to miss one of the best films ever made.

Last words that really got through me by Captain Jack Sparrow –

“Nobody move! I dropped my brain…”

🙂
