I’ve been having a massive writer’s block lately and I haven’t really gotten back my drive to write yet. I know, I know. It’s been MONTHS, goodness. Though there are times when I really REALLY want to write, I feel its urge. My muse is still there but for some reason, I’m having a hard time getting the drive and inspiration to get my pen and paper (or laptop and word document) and just… well, write.
So I took to Twitter and asked some mutuals for writing prompts that would help me get out of my funk, so to speak. I wrote some drabbles in response to that. See/read these drabbles below.
Well then. I hope these delivered. And hopefully as well, that this is the start of me writing once more. Continue reading “Prompted Drabbles”
This has been a long time coming, I know. I have been wanting to compose this post for the longest time and just hadn’t gotten the time around to doing so. But hey – better late than never, right? 😅
So, here it is. THANK YOU! From the bottom of my heart – thank you, to everyone who bought and read my published book, The Photographer, and took the time to send me tweets, posts and messages that they have done so. I am grateful to all of you. Continue reading ““Thank You!” – The Photographer”
Last Spring Break – the whole family went to Japan for a vacation. Remember when I wrote before how Japan has always called my soul? Well, my soul finally answered the call.
And man – it was everything I imagined it to be and more. I cried when we landed on our first day, cried when we started walking the streets of Tokyo, cried when our plane took off on our last day.

I woke up today dreaming of Japan. Again. 😅
Literally. Like I vividly saw Shibuya Crossing, Mt. Fuji, Tokyo Skytree, Akihabara – to name just a few – in my dream. And I was simply walking through it. Or floating. Or flying. I don’t really remember that part much. You know how dreams sometimes are. 😅😂
And the funny thing here is – I’ve never been to Japan yet. Ever.
Oh sure, I’ve stopped there during some trips abroad on a layover. Stayed in the airport for an hour or so. But never went out and explored.
And another funny thing about that? I had bawled, every single time my plane would land or take off from Narita Airport. Yep. Bawled.
Weird huh? Continue reading “Nippon 🇯🇵🇯🇵🇯🇵”
Sometimes, I don’t like it that I care too much. It always, always backfires on me. Because after all is said and done, I’m the one left bleeding, hurting and alone.
And the one I cared for? Better without me.
Those who totally know me, know that I’m not really a huge fan of Valentine’s. 😅 Of love, yes – since I’m a romantic at heart and I believe that love should be celebrated every day and not just once in a year. But I don’t begrudge those that celebrate it. Valentines, after all, is a day to celebrate all kinds of love. I still like seeing couples become extra lovey-dovey during this time or even families and little kids expressing love to their parents and siblings. It’s still a nice feeling. 😊
Just this late morning, my 4-year old little boy came home from his speech therapy and asked me first thing when he walked in the door, “Mommy, is today Valentines?” I answered yes and then, without preamble – he hugged me tight and said in a loud voice, “I love you, Mommy!” Continue reading “One Long Stemmed Rose”
It’s been a while… 👀😶
I know. I know. I really have no one besides myself to blame for not updating this site or writing anything in it or posting photos and such. Been busy being a momma on most days and fixing our lives, so to speak. 😅
But hey – on a good note, a novel that I’ve been rewriting and editing is already finished and is now going through the process of being proofread and beta read by a good writer/editor friend of mine. I am hoping to get it published by the beginning of March, if all goes well.
Also – I’m in the process of writing a new novel too with another good author friend, who is also my soul sister. This one – we’re hoping to be done writing by April so we could perhaps get it published by May. Continue reading “Hello. Testing. 👀”
When people tweet or message me or tag me in their posts about the books that I wrote and published – I am overwhelmed with gratitude. Especially since I am but a newbie in the publishing business. So to everyone who has let me know that they have my books and that they are happy getting them and happy reading them – THANK YOU! From the bottom of my heart. I adore you all. 🙂 ❤
It’s such a simple gesture but it puts a huge smile on my face whenever there is someone who would tweet me or message me or even post it anywhere in their social media accounts how they got my book and how much they liked it.
This is one of the many reasons why I continue to write. Because your messages such as these get me inspired. My readers are very important to me. So I am immensely grateful for you all who supported me and got my book and sent me a short note that you did so.
Much love and kisses to all of you! 🤗😘💛
So this has been a long time coming. I said way back that I was going to post the food photos that I took when we were vacationing in the Philippines during the summer. But then – too many things happened for the past days that this has been put in the back burner for quite some time. 😅
But anyway – here they are. Better late than never right? All of them are on my Instagram feed, actually. But I’m posting it here in a slideshow for those that haven’t seen them yet. 🤗
As you well can see from the photos – food in the Philippines is the bomb. But that could be since I grew up with these foods. They’re what you might call – my comfort food given that they remind me of my childhood and how I lived when I was back in the Philippines. Biases aside though – I would really love for you to try Filipino foods. Even the ones that are American or Japanese but made in the Philippines. Most of the Filipino delicacies are really delicious.
And of course – nothing can beat Jollibee for me. Ever.
