Sweet Night

Friday Night.  It was a nice night.  Clear skies.  The sun just setting, the moon just rising out and little stars so far away started twinkling in their own innocent right.  We were driving home along the 101 freeway.  No traffic.  Few cars.  Just him and me with the wind whipping in our hair because ofContinue reading “Sweet Night”

Live Free or Die Hard by Len Wiseman

I know this is a long review in the making since this movie came out almost a month ago. It being the 4th of July movie. But hey – better late than never, right? 🙂 I was actually apprehensive in watching this film. Given that it’s already the 4th movie and I kind of feltContinue reading “Live Free or Die Hard by Len Wiseman”

La Vie En Rose by Olivier Dahan

Lovely performance by Marion Cottilard as Edith Piaf in the inspirational and melodramatic film telling the life of Edith Piaf from her childhood till her death that deserves numerous best actress awards from different award-giving bodies. Evan Almighty by Tom Shadyac

Funny, clever but not extremely almighty. Steve Carrell makes a comeback as the witty Evan Baxter who takes on a new job as a US Congressman with a slogan about him wanting to change the world. 1408 by Mikael Hafstrom

Wonderfully done. Not perfect but not that bad to see as well. Technical-wise, cinematography was consistent. Director Mikael Hafstrom wanted the whole film to be tinged with yellow and it was shown throughout the film. Production design was up to par. Especially the room 1408 at the Dolphin Hotel in NYC where almost everything happened.Continue reading “1408 by Mikael Hafstrom”

Meeting Daniel Radcliffe – a Fiction [Part 4 – London, UK]

Part 4 – London, UK “Welcome to London!” the cheery face of the immigration officer irritated me beyond belief as he handed me my passport.  I didn’t know why I was irritated.  Probably because just after a couple of hours of dreamless sleep, the pilot of my plane woke everybody up and said thatContinue reading “Meeting Daniel Radcliffe – a Fiction [Part 4 – London, UK]”
