私のムーンハート (My Moonheart)

It’s a clear night. The moon is out and bright tonight. Really bright.

And Raven is grateful because of it.

Because she has been walking aimlessly for hours now, perhaps even going around in circles, her feet taking her to a not so crowded area in Shibuya, Tokyo. It’s already close to midnight and though she knows that Tokyo is relatively safe even at nighttime, she really wants to get back to her hotel already. She wants a bath – a nice, long and hot one that she could soak in. To soothe her tired muscles, to soothe her tired feet, to relax her. It has been a long day of walking, going to places she hasn’t been to before, getting lost…

Lost. Yep. She is definitely lost right now. She doesn’t know where she is exactly, only that she knows she’s still somewhere in Shibuya. At least she’s in a part of Tokyo that’s well known, even though there isn’t currently anyone around her. The small park where she decided to sit down and take a quick break is also deserted. Hello, doll… (A Short Story)

A really good friend and soul sister of mine sent me this writing prompt when I was in a kind of writing stump. To be honest, I had fun writing this. And I hope this delivered. 💕

“Ahhhh shit,” he winces as he suddenly feels his left inside wrist burn.

He knows what it means, even as he watches the mark fascinatingly etch itself onto his seemingly unmarred skin – branding him, calling him, summoning him.

He gives a deep sigh before getting out of the old, abandoned car he found stalled beside an unnamed stretch of highway. He’s been hanging out here for devil knows how long, knowing that sooner or later, he will be… called.

He stretches and groans satisfyingly, feeling his back muscles pop. How long has it been since he moved? He’s gotten so still as he… waited. Continue reading “Hello, doll… (A Short Story)”

Fate on Christmas : a short Christmas story

Aaron Jameson looks up and shivers. “Ahh… It’s freezing tonight,” he mumbles to himself, putting his hands inside his jeans pockets to keep warm. He’s standing under a huge billboard along Sunset Blvd., the billboard being that of his face, advertising the new album he just released.

Taking out his phone, he takes a quick photo of his own billboard and fusses a bit when he sees the photo blurry. His hands are shaking and he doesn’t know if it’s from the cold or if it’s because of nerves.

Shaking his head, he takes another and nods to himself when the photo this time around came out better.

He doesn’t really understand why he’s doing this but for some reason, he just found himself doing so.

It’s late and though Hollywood doesn’t really sleep, it isn’t as crowded as it usually is, especially since it’s a weekday. Continue reading “Fate on Christmas : a short Christmas story”

For Janinna 💕

One of my soul sisters sent this prompt to me. And I just wanted to see if I still got it with writing on the fly. I hope this delivered.

She is finally silent, though her heavy breaths could still be heard within the stillness of the four walls of their living room. Her watery eyes are cold, determined, angry. She continues to look at him.

Him.

The man she once promised to love forever. The man she once said she’ll grow old together with. The man who held her heart for the longest time.

The man who she fell in-love once.

The same man that she isn’t in-love with anymore.

“I’m done,” she quietly says, sitting down on the couch she remembers as the very first furniture they bought together all those years ago. She chuckles bitterly at this realization. “I am just so done.” Continue reading “For Janinna 💕”

Unbalanced – A Short Story

He’s seen her.

From the beginning of his concert from the stage until now. Even with the bright lights shining down on him, the loud sounds of the arena all around, he still sees her.

She’s not exactly up front but she’s quite close that he can still make out what she looks like. Her long, brown hair flowing around her shoulders, her dark yet smoldering, bright eyes, and those full pink lips, smirking.

Prompted Drabbles

I’ve been having a massive writer’s block lately and I haven’t really gotten back my drive to write yet. I know, I know. It’s been MONTHS, goodness. Though there are times when I really REALLY want to write, I feel its urge. My muse is still there but for some reason, I’m having a hard time getting the drive and inspiration to get my pen and paper (or laptop and word document) and just… well, write.

So I took to Twitter and asked some mutuals for writing prompts that would help me get out of my funk, so to speak. I wrote some drabbles in response to that. See/read these drabbles below.

Well then. I hope these delivered. And hopefully as well, that this is the start of me writing once more. Continue reading “Prompted Drabbles”

Hello. Testing. 👀

It’s been a while… 👀😶

I know. I know. I really have no one besides myself to blame for not updating this site or writing anything in it or posting photos and such. Been busy being a momma on most days and fixing our lives, so to speak. 😅

But hey – on a good note, a novel that I’ve been rewriting and editing is already finished and is now going through the process of being proofread and beta read by a good writer/editor friend of mine. I am hoping to get it published by the beginning of March, if all goes well.

Also – I’m in the process of writing a new novel too with another good author friend, who is also my soul sister. This one – we’re hoping to be done writing by April so we could perhaps get it published by May. Continue reading “Hello. Testing. 👀”
